SOLAR CELL SYSTEMS

Solar cell systems

Think about the environment, with alternative forms of energy that also benefit your finances

Back in 2010, SoftControl developed its own mounting system, but in 2013 we switched to dealer agreements with leading companies, with solar panels such as Eurener and Solarday. We do not sell solar panels that are linked to forced labor in the Chinese production. Within assembly systems, we have products from Solar Construct and Renusol. We sell inverters from DEYE and Growatt for solar systems, and for hybrid inverters from Growatt and KSTAR.

Like other forms of renewable energy, solar energy can be the way to make Denmark independent of fossil fuels by 2050.

Invest in your own future with a renewable energy source that can be used in different ways. Solar cells are probably the most popular form of energy to produce electricity, because it has a number of advantages, such as being green, noiseless, and reliable. This is because solar cells have a long service life, and they do not require large maintenance costs. You can also achieve savings on your electricity bill and produce your own electricity for the household.

You have several possible uses of solar cell systems, such as:

  • Directly connected to the mains
  • Island operation
  • Hybrid systems

Directly connected to the mains

This type of connection is the most common in Denmark. It is particularly suitable for installations that are connected to the old, year-based form of settlement, or to households with a huge amount of consumption during the day. You will be allowed to consume the electricity that your installation produces, and you can sell the surplus electricity on to the electricity grid. This sale to the electricity grid depends on which scheme you are affiliated to with the electricity company, but your own consumption to the household will be exempt from public taxes and duties when you produce your own electricity.

You will need an exchanger/inverter when installing mains-connected solar cell systems. Solar panels produce direct current, which must be converted to alternating current in order for it to be usable. For this, an exchanger is used, which converts the solar energy so that you can use the electricity in the home and be connected to the public supply network. You do not need to replace the wiring or electrical appliances in the home. The electricity meter in the home keeps track of how much of the produced electricity is used by you and how much the solar panel system sends back to the electricity grid.

Island operation

This is a small solar panel system that is not connected to the public electricity grid. That is why it is called an “off-grid solution”. Here, all solar cell production is stored in a battery facility and converted from there to alternating current 230V. Such solar cell systems are typically used in allotment gardens, holiday homes, caravans, sailboats and other places where there is no fixed electricity grid.

Hybrid systems

Hybrid systems are a combination of solar power and a connection to the electricity grid, but here you have the option of storing the power you produce in a battery storage. This system works by measuring solar cell production and consumption. This means that, in case of excess electricity in the household over a longer period, the excess electricity can be sold to the electricity company. This is a great advantage and gives you the greatest possible savings on your electricity bill.

You can use the excess power for free charging of an electric car, free underfloor heating in the bathroom, or a free round of laundry.
